Weddings Suck

Whoever said that wedding planning was a joy is mental!
I HOPE to GOD that I will not become this on my wedding day!

Update

A lot has happened since my last post.
  • I finally decided to move out of the lovely ivy hatch cottage.  It was really hard on mi mama y papa. Who is going to watch hallmark movies with mother?  Who is going to talk like Eeyore to papa? It is going to deathly silent in their house, due to the fact that their loud little daughter will not be blasting her music every day or dancing around the house.  This will be a big change for them.
  • I moved in with my friend...(Big Problems arose).....money was definitely getting sucked out of my bank account to live at this place.  Not fun!  I was also feeling like the people who slept over every night should pay a part of the rent/utilities.  I heard a lot of things that I wish I never had to hear.
  • In September Ryan took me to twin falls and decided to ask me for my hand in marriage.  YAY, I was overjoyed and shocked!  Hehe, Ryan, I just moved out!

  • My Psoriasis condition came back with a vengeance.  Constant itching and blood!  Apparently it was stress related...all this moving and wedding planning I guess.
    • I got prescribed for so many things: topical oils and creams.  I went on a trial run of Prednisone (in April) which had a great effect on me for the week.  I will definitely have to use that the week of the wedding because I know I am going to be a basket case that week.  Hopefully wont be a bridezilla....
  •  A few months later I manned up and got out of that house that did not feel like home at all.  (If you spend 90% in your room.... you know you are in the wrong place). Ryan and I got my entire room into the UHAUL and shipped it to my sisters.  My sis was nice enough to cut the rent to $300.  Nice Sister :)
  • My brother and Taylor got married up in Victoria, BC.  Laurel Inn was AMAZING!

The room was incredible.  Comfortable beds. A gorgeous view!
The only thing that sucked was my ear infection!
THE VIEW
I want to go back to the Irish pub and eat  the yummy shepherds pie!  It was the best I have ever had!
  •  A big decision was made.....to get a house.  Ryan and I went to several houses.  Some that were completely run down to amyitville horror house to meth house to a home.
  • There was a chicken coup.
Everything looked so outdated.  The bathroom floors were carpeted.  The thought of any bathroom being carpeted just made me feel sick to my stomach

We almost had this house but someone put a "no inspection" clause on the bid which I find to  be very stupid.

I fell in love with the backyard and the cute little sunroom.  The house looked like it was meant for an older feller.

We attempted to go to this house but there was actually someone inside watching tv.  I guess that was a sign that it was not meant for us.  Plus, this house looked so out of place.  It was the only bright spot on the street.  I wish I could have seen the inside since this house was a flip.

This was a rehab house.  I knew it was sketchy when I saw the caution tape all over the handle bars.  PLUS, there was no door knob.  What the crap are we getting ourselves into.

I think this house has enough stairways. Dont ya think?

Ryan and I really enjoyed the (very hot) catpiss smell that was upstairs.

Our Realtor was really pressing this house on us.  It had a droopy ceiling which was a red flag and the wooden floors were completely trashed since the owners didn't finish them right.

We fell in love with this house. Another FLIP.  It was too good to be true though! We put a bid down  and the  owners excepted it.  We got a phone call about an hour later saying that a person had out bid us by 20 grand.  Oh well, this house did not have any closets (the owners reply: "this house would be desired in germany".  Lady, we are in america.)
But we were so in love with the kitchen.  Wish it had an island.
UPDATE: apparently, the people that outbid us dropped out.  Something must have gone wrong or the owners/realtors were trying to trick us into bidding more.  Good thing we dropped out!

  • Here is our GOOD NEWS

THIS WILL BE OUR HOUSE MAY 10
Yes, there were problems with this house but the owner was willing to compromise with us.  He will replace the water pipes, get a new water heater, fix the bathroom and laundry room vents and get railings to get the house up to code.  I am so excited that we found a home that made our hearts jump.
Nice floors with a very open living room.  YES, we are finally feeling good about this house.  Hopefully there are no paranormal activity here.
A house with a nice master bedroom (with a closet!)

  • In the beginning of April I got an ingrown toenail which went from bad to worse to good to horrible to almost back to normal (minus my beautiful nail).
After they removed the first sliver of nail
swelling got bad: I went on 3 different kinds of antibiotics
the 2nd doctor did a much better job of wrapping my foot.
After the 2nd surgery: doesn't look as bad as the 1st.  Please heel for the wedding!

  • My family is freaking out because everyone that we invited is coming to the wedding...I have a feeling that this is going to be bigger than we all expected.  Father is having mini heart attacks because he is under the impression that people at are church think its an open invitation to all churchgoers.  We might need a bouncer with a list of names....God, if you are listening....please let this all work out :)
