I want to go back!

I can't believe this was my first time...shopping at Uwajimaya!
Everything looked so fresh and so clean clean.
I wish I was feeling better that day so I could actually enjoy the store.

I think ryan and I have a problem...
we like to take pictures of strange things...
If only I could keep my mouth open that wide.
But then again, my jaw might break.
Not so good.
Nothing like fishheads to make your day all better!
Hmm ... whats worse? Looking at these fishheads or snapping off shrimp heads?
If only I could read japanese.
I can't even read backwards.
I've always wanted to be turned into an anime character.
Maybe thats why I would put my hair in pigtails and open my eyes very wide and yell "I am Sailor Moon!"
Someday.
I'd love to kick my problems out of this world!
If only I could.
Hot Pots are pretty much the best thing ever...
I've had a korean hot pot which was pretty delicious.
I wonder how different korean hotpots are to a Japanese.
Probably the difference between a swedish meatball and a norwegian meatball.
Now I just need to see if ryan will try it out :P
Oh my, when I first saw this cover I thought to myself...
"why would you be talking Japanese (let alone english) while making out?"
As I looked closer I realized that it was a phrasebook...though it looks a little out of date and corny (:P).
I found Hello Kitty and smiled :)
She was HUGE.
Why must I love thee?
Is it the nose?
Is it the whiskers?
Its gotta be the bow!
For a snack we got a pork filled hum bow.
Why must I be sick?
I love the sweet filling of meat...but everything tastes funky when your taste buds are all screwed up.
There will be hum bow next time.
There will!
My new favorite drink!
ALO
The full description:

ALO Allure Aloe + Mangosteen + Mango Drink

I love crazy things in my drink.
Maybe thats why I love bubble tea so much.

The last thing I saw before going across the street to Daiso.

A Day for Mothers

If you are going to make my mama a happy camper take her on a beach walk or go on a kayak trip.
Here are some pictures from our beach walk on Mothers Day.
Clouds are magical.
I Pinch you!
Off the rock photo
It got a little clamy.
Maddie thought I should take a picture of this.
If only she had her own camera.
Oh wait she broke it. (but that wasn't hers)

Gotta love maddie and sinking sand.
Engulfed by the sky
Awkward feet mud pie
The sand got up to my knees once.  Oh how I love sand that sinks.
Time to walk where no man has walked before...
I wish I could walk on water.
But then again, I am scared of sea creatures...
I'd be down for some goodies. If only those were my bags.
Not sure about raw oysters right now.
But I could go for some more mussels and clams.
I can't get over this sky and how far maddie is.  She really loves to do her own thing.
If only she came when I called her.
While we were looking for little fishies I found a little fishie egg.
Nope, its probably someones snot.
I'm not sure about you, but I would be very scared if Maddie was trying to catch me.
Just Posin'
Where does mom think she is going?
I wonder how they will get back to me.
If only they had followed the shore.
Glorious Glorious Sky
These are my favorite kind of shots.
 And now the fun begins.
Why not make Papa look like Alfalfa!
 My dads famous ducky lips.
I have the cutest papa ever :)

What do I love to do? EAT!

May 11th
The day of Ryan's big 7 course meal at Le Cordon Bleu!
I was beyond excited to eat a scrumdilliumptious meal.

-Rhonda and I got to be ryans plus 2-

The only problem was waking up at 4am to get down to tukwila.
The night before I could not fall asleep until 11pm (figures, right?)
Luckily, starbucks was open.
Vanilla Latte please!
It was a lot of fun to play "lets spy on ryan in the kitchen".
Apparently Ryan used to be a vegetarian.
Being at cooking school really opened his eyes to new things (crazy, wild things)
He will now eat burgers with me :)
Oh, and try to get me to eat grasshoppers.
No thank you!

Now to the Menu!
To start off the morning "dinner" was an amuse-bouche.
A bite size, it was!
Deviled Quail Egg
Oh that was DElightful!
I was almost too scared to eat it because it was so darn cute.
I shoved that baby egg down my little esophagus.
Awww, sad, I wanted another one.
I guess I could have taken the egg from next door.
The lady next to me must have been on a diet (or EXTREMELY picky) because she would not even touch her food or look at it actually.
Pike Place Brewery Dry Wit White Ale Steamed Shell Fish
I absolutely love mussels, but after going to Arnies for dinner last month I was a little apprehensive.
What would have happened at Arnies that would cause such fear?
Well the chef had forgotten to de-beard a couple of mussels...and lets say I got a mouth full of Poop tasting mussel.
Thankfully, the mussels that were prepared today were beard free and did not taste like the uncleaned toilet.
Oh my goodness, we cannot forget the big shrimp!
I had to snap his little head off!
I can't believe that I decapitated him :(
I hate looking at the face of my meal before I devour it.
Oh well, yum num num
Focacia bread is delish!
Especially when it is covered in the special sauce.
There were bacon bits too! You know how much I LOVE BACON!
Red & Golden Beet Salad
For the record, I do not like beets.
The reasoning comes from my siblings who had to suffer through beet jello, with a mayonaise topping.
The thought of beet jello brought a vomit taste to my mouth.
But, being the strong food lover that I am, I pushed through and tried to give this dish a chance.
If this dish did not have the feta cream (with yummy pistachios), it would have been a totally different experience.
Everything complimented each other very well (amazingly enough).
The beats were iffy (the goldens were sweet and the reds were bitter blah)
Chilled English Pea Soup
Hehe, when I first saw this I was like "ummm, wheres the soup?"
And then they brought the pitchers.
I think I cried, because I was hoping for a warm soup, seeing that the room was like 45 degree fahrenheit.
I should have remembered reading "chilled pea soup"...
Besides being taken back by the temperature of the dish, I was ultimately in love with the crab.
I usually hate crab (only because we eat it so often).
Thats all we would eat at the beach house. Crab cakes. Crab in da chowder. Crab in with da noodles. Crab Crab Crab.
Luckily, this was a little different.
Oh truffle oil is the bomb!
Charles Smith Kung Fu Girl Riesling & D'Anjou Pear Sorbet
Now this was a party in my mouth.
Every scoop of sorbet would melt in my mouth.
I was literally frozen after this course, but I was happy to be frozen.
Sweet sorbet of loveliness!
Bordeaux Braised Osso Buco
Oh snap this is my very first veal dish.
Mary had a little calf, little calf...
It was super tender and came right off of the bone quite nicely.
My favorite part had to be the purple potatoes,
It reminded me of Dr. Seuss. (what a good man)
And those onions. Magnifique!  Sweet goodness in my belly.
Ryan made me eat the marrow out of the bone.
The thought creeped me out, but I did it so he would be proud of me.
Tasted like meaty potatoes.
Ok I did it.
I think I will stick to the adult cow and leave the babies alone.
Deconstructed Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp
I loved the pop rock surprise.
With every bite you could hear a *pop* *pop*
Oh, it was quite fun.
And you cannot go wrong with lemon gelato.
The oatmeal cookie was hard to break with my knife, but it was still good good.

Oh buddy...if only I could eat this good every day.  But then again, I would be a plump little chica.
But a HAPPY CHICA :)

You put the lime in the coconut

And shake it all up!

Ryan cut out a hole (with the meat cleaver that I bought him) and then he put in a straw (just like the tropicana commericals).
Too bad this coconut milk didn't relieve my belly ache.
Tastes funky...but I will drink it all because I am Ri baby :)
How will we open this fine looking coconut?
Maybe a meat cleaver?
Nope!
Maybe a cerated knife?
Hot Dang! This puppy won't budge!
Ryan decided to bring out the big guns.
We are going to open this darn coconut! WE ARE!
Found my dads hacksaw.
It took much force but it worked!
I wonder what I will do with the insides now that I drank all of the (sweet bitter) coconut milk.
It is SO TOUGH inside.
Almost tougher to crack than the outside.
Cheese grater might do the trick?
But then again I still need to break it into pieces.
Oh well...
How long will this coconut last?
We shall see...
And now it is time to model with my coconut shells!
I'm so not a coconut model.
